Glechoma hederaceae

I learned that you should always learn about your plants using their scientific names so you dont confuse two different plants. There could be 15 Creeping Charlies around the world  but there's only ONE Glechoma hederaceae.                                                                                                                                                 :D Great. Now all i have to do is learn how to say that out loud. he he he And spell it from memory.                                                                                                                                                 Now see? I was perfectly content to just call him Creepin Charlie because i had the name linked to Bloodbath in Paradise by Ozzy. Something about nobody being left when Charlie creeps behind. (Charlie Manson, that is. That short little dude still freaks me out and he's got to be 102 yrs old!!
But anyhoo, i digress. There are several aliases for my Charlie that be Creeping!! Ground Ivy~ Gill-Over-The-Ground~Aleshoof~Cat's Hoof~Gillrun~Hay Maids~Hedgemaids~Lizzy-run-up-the-hedge.
Lol. Makes me want to run out and plant a hedge to let my Charlie creep up!

Howdi!!!!

 This is Yzzy starting her blog not knowing the first basic of how to do this. So please feel free to critique!! Seriously. Just be easy if you choose to. I am starting my blog about my year and a day with Creeping Charlie and i will be calling him simply Charlie most of the time. Don't know much about him but he's been calling to me since summer '09. He crawls up my porch steps evey summer and is so gorgeous. I will be looking at other folks posts to see exactly how to do this properly as i get the chance. But for now, this is Yzzy! :0)
